Good fit

This setup is a good fit when

  • You are building a small hydrogen production system for fuel-cell micro-mobility
  • You need an electrolyzer to connect to storage, compression and dispensing equipment
  • You want to select 0 or 10 barg in software to test and validate the hydrogen generation section
  • You want to start with a 2 kW system and consider adding more systems later

HXB-V1 2 kW system · performance evaluation support

On-site green-hydrogen production for micro-mobility refuelling

Customer need

EFLOW brought HXB-V1 into its small green-hydrogen production and refuelling setup for hydrogen fuel-cell micro-mobility. HydroXpand supplied the electrolyzer and supported operating-data evaluation; storage, compression and dispensing remained within EFLOW's system-integration scope.

From enquiry to delivery

  1. We supplied an HXB-V1 2 kW AEM electrolysis system in February 2026.
  2. In April, stack efficiency, hydrogen output, continuous operation and gas quality were evaluated with an expert from the Korea Institute of Energy Research in attendance. Customer-side results are not published here until consent is obtained.
  3. A signed contract for an additional HXB-V1 followed in June.
  4. EFLOW integrated this hydrogen-generation section into its green-hydrogen production and refuelling setup for micro-mobility.

Full supply scope

  • HXS-2 stack, power supply, circulation and thermal control, HMI and desktop app
  • Support for evaluating stack efficiency, hydrogen output, continuous operation and gas quality
  • Additional system supply contract and technical documentation

Customer-side output, efficiency, lifetime and publication results are not included because we do not yet have consent to publish them.

Before you ask

Worth checking first

PressureThe HXB-V1 supply specification supports both 0 and 10 barg operation, selectable in software. Direct output at 30 to 35 bar is not validated and would need a modified safety design plus further testing.
Scale-up pathWe are developing the HXS-30 and a 30 kW turnkey system scheduled for launch in Q2 2027, followed by a roadmap that groups eight HXS-30 units into 250 kW and four of those into 1 MW. Complete systems available today are at the 2 kW class.
